Born and raised in India. Mr. Dabas earned an M.S. in Physics from the University of Delhi in 1971 and performed research in Physics at the university until 1974. Mr. Dabas later Joined the Bank of India as Branch Manager. In 1979, Mr. Dabas was promoted to officer of the bank and then transferred to the New York office where he became a full time officer. Additionally, he earned an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnical in New York in 1981.

From 1981 until 1984, Mr. Dabas was employed by Mattel Toys as and Industrial Engineer. He later joined L’Oreal, USA as Senior Industrial Engineer in 1984. In 1994, he was promoted to Manager of Raw Materials Purchasing where he worked until his retirement in 2008. As of November 2010, Mr. Dabas is a shareholder of Algae to Omega Holdings, Inc and in late 2011, he became a member of the Board of Directors.
